it

gematria is an ancient symbol system used to assign numeric value to letters, words, and phrases. It is believed that this system originated in the Middle East, but over time it has been adopted and adapted around the world. Through this system words can be "mapped" numerically to uncover hidden meanings and connections between words, concepts, phrases, and divine messages. This practice is frequently utilized by Kabbalistic scholars in order to uncover the deeper meaning behind a certain phrase or passage.

The primary idea behind this system is that each letter of a given language has its own numerical value that can correspond to another letter, word or phrase. This correspondence can then be interpreted as symbolic which can give insight into the meaning of the symbols or help unveil deeper connections between entries in a particular language. Some examples of Gematria correspondences include:

A = 1

B = 2

C = 3

D = 4

E = 5

and so forth.

In order to utilize Gematria effectively you must first understand how it works and be able to identify important symbol-spells within your chosen language(s). In most cases you will use a preexisting chart for your language that maps out all of the individual letter values; however it's also possible to construct your own customized chart based on your personal preferences. Once familiar with the various numerical values for individual letters you can begin looking for correspondences within passages or phrases.

For instance: take the phrase "love is eternal" Breaking down each individual word reveals that each one corresponds with a certain number based on its associated letter: L = 12; O = 15; V = 22; E = 5; I = 9; S = 19; T = 20; E = 5; R = 18; N = 14 respectively. Adding these together results in a total value of 114 which may represent something other than these individual parts when taken as a whole. Although not very scientific in its approach Gematria can nevertheless offer powerful symbolic insights while suggesting meaningful insights into previously unexplored territories of thought.
